The year is unknown for sure, somewhere in early pirate years. Pirate ships roam the seas doing their dastardly deeds and robbing innocent people of the goods. Among them is the most feared pirate of all, Captain Grey Withers. Ruthless he's said to be and he's crew just as heartless. He's stolen more then any other pirate and the price on his head is high. Every Royal in the world is after him. Especially now that rumor has it there's a woman on board, and not just any woman... A suspected love. Rumor says, take her out and you have him.
As for the Royals, their once notorious Captain Jason Mikes was killed burtaly after an attack on Grey. Now most the Royals spend a lot of time as well trying to get the King and Queens attention and be named the best Royal Captain there is. However, everyone is fully aware that the King and Queen won't be happy until Captain Grey is brought in.
In the mists of it all, rumor is spreading on the Island of Nepal of a small island some where in the north that carries more treasure then anyone could possibly own normal 'land lubbers' are on their way to learning to sail to get these goods. Especially the Tavern owner of Devils Holes' Tavern who has had recent issues with robberies and attacks on his poor old tavern.
